Description
The Gräshoppa probably is one of the most iconic white tripod floor lamps of the 20th century. This designer lamp is commonly called Grasshopper in most parts of the world. It was first introduced to the world back in 1947 from design powerhouse which was a great leap forward in industrial design. This iconic piece also featuring a lampshade diffuser that can be tilted backwards and forwards, whereby the conical shade is attached to the main body using a ball joint for greater flexibility of movement. It connected to the on-off foot switch for convenient and functional. European modernism probably has the largest influence on Greta Grossman’s designs, and this is demonstrated in most of his design including this mid-century floor standing light. A unique, classic and yet still represent how a modern lamp should look. This iconic mid-century design is also available in various colours as a custom order.
