The Flos Aim 5 Mixed Multipoint Pendant is a work of art as much as it is a lighting instrument. Aim Light is redefining the modern pendant light where an ordinary light hung straight down from a ceiling canopy; these five pendants move away from the concentration of mass concerning the centre point of its predecessors. It connected to a tangle of wires, mimicking a glowing tropical plant, like those found in the Amazon jungle. French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec created this most simplistic yet flexible design. Developed by France’s most talented duo, this uniquely asymmetric feature light provides a combination of lighting through the height and direction multiple light shades. The five pendants mixed sizes are consisted of two big and three small shades. Where the big size is measured at a diameter of 243mm and small shade is measured at a diameter of 170mm. There are two variants of Aim Light, Type 1 and Type 2. Both Types are constructed from a varnished aluminium sheet. The difference is Type 1 completed with a white polycarbonate glass diffuser and illuminates via inbuilt LED globes. In contrast, Type 2 is made without a diffuser and illuminates via E27 Edison screw light globes. The drum-shaped spotlight shade is suitable for many larger interiors as well as to being used to illuminate a particular object or spot. The Aim and Aim Mini series is currently available in either the Single Pendant, Twin Pendant, Trio Pendant, Quadruplet Pendant, Quintuple Cluster and 5 Mixed Multipoint.
