Modern Black Ivy Bedside Light is an art deco table lamp inspired by nature. In a natural world, a biological organism such as climbing plant and multi-cell microorganisms climb both vertically and horizontally along any surfaces to reach out sunlight and nutrient. In its natural environment, it stretches out to various compositions in a nonlinear fashion. Similarly, for this innovative desk lighting, their twinning stem is not always in a straight line. The light fittings itself is comprised and constructed of the carefully crafted metal frame or ‘climbing stem’ finished in matte black, decorated by two odd sizes of handblown smoke grey glass diffusers with an optional choice of matte orange glass diffusers. There is also the white ‘climbing stem’ in this series, for a more creative combination. This modern designer desk lamp would suit both commercial fitout and residential applications.
