This version of the Flos Aim hanging light presents itself as the 5 light pendant in its simplest form. Functioning as both a work of art and a lighting instrument, the Aim Light reimagines the modern pendant light. In contrast to the standard practice of suspending a light directly downward from a ceiling canopy, these five pendants deviate from the conventional mass concentration around the center point seen in their predecessors. Instead, they are connected through a network of wires that evoke the appearance of a luminous tropical plant, reminiscent of those found in the Amazon jungle. Originally designed by the French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, this design embodies a harmonious blend of simplicity and flexibility. Crafted by France’s most gifted duo, this uniquely asymmetric feature light offers a seamless fusion of lighting through the varied heights and directional orientations of multiple light shades. The Aim Light comes in two creative variations: Type 1 and Type 2. Both types are crafted from varnished aluminum sheets. The defining distinction lies in Type 1, which features a white polycarbonate glass diffuser and is illuminated by integrated LED globes. In contrast, Type 2 equip without a diffuser and is lit by E27 Edison screw light globes. The 5 drum-shaped spotlight shade is well suited for larger interiors and excels in accentuating specific objects or areas.
